Verizon message delivery problems

Finally, some good new. We have just (and I mean just) updated our site with a new, more reliable way to send ringtones to Verizon phones.
Give it a try when you get a chance. It should work much better this time.

First of all let me say, “Happy belated Thanksgiving!” to everyone. I hope at least some of you were able to download some of our featured Thanksgiving ringtones. I know you don’t usually think of Thanksgiving and ringtones, but it turns out that rapping Pilgrims are pretty popular.
Anyway… I just wanted to let you know that the message delivery still seems to be all over the place. For whatever Verizon was delivering more of the messages we sent for a while, then things got backed up for a few days, and now some people are saying they are getting their messages again.
We are still working on adding that new, more reliable way to send the messages to all you Verizon folks. Sorry it has taken a little longer that we first hoped, but we really are getting close now (really). Hang in there. I’ll post again as soon as it’s ready.

Well, I have at least some good news. People are starting to say that they are getting at least some of the messages we are sending. I know it’s not great, but it’s better than nothing.Â
I have noticed some comments where folks are encouraging you to change the SMS Address on your account. Be careful. Typically that will cause even more problems. Changing your SMS Address to your vtext address will probably not work. We can’t attach the ringtones and wallpapers to vtext messages and most (non-smart) Verizon phones can’t follow a link. Some people say that if they send the messages to your email address, then forward them to their phone it works. It might. Our testing shows that sometimes that works and other times it doesn’t. If you try it and it doesn’t work then make sure to go back to the My Account -> Change SMS page and erase your SMS Address (blank is the default).Â
We are still working a quicker/more reliable way to send ringtones to Verizon phones and hope that is going to be ready soon. Stay tuned…

We haven’t forgotten about you Verizon folks. We know that most of the messages are still not being delivered. The good news it that it looks like some messages got delivered a couple of nights ago, but unfortunately, it seems to be all plugged up again.
We’ve heard from some people that they have contacted Verizon and they say that it is our fault. Well, I find that hard to believe since other free content providers are experiencing the exact same problem.
Anyway, we are working to find other/better ways to deliver content on Verizon and hope to have something available soon, real soon.Â
Thanks for your patience and support. I’ll post again as soon as I have some good news.

As some of you may have noticed, messages delivery to Verizon phones has been extremely slow recently. Some of you may be receiving the messages hours after you request them and others may not be receiving them at all.  Â
Sorry for all of the delays. We send the messages as soon as you request them, but (for whatever reason) the Verizon network is refusing to accept them. Until the situation is resolved, you may receive also receive an email that says, ”SMTP: connection refused”. Â
The good or bad news (depending on your view) is that other content provides are also having problems connecting to the Verizon servers recently. Â
Sorry again for the trouble. We’re working on it. Trust me, we want it to work as much as you do. Please check this blog from time to time for the latest updates. Â

sooo is it pointless to keep trying to get my ringtones and wallpapers if i have a enV phone?
I haven’t received my ringtones in 672 hours and I sent a total of 8 ringtones to my phone. This is unfair cause I sit next to my friend who has a Sprint phone (the Upstage actually) and she gets her ringtones in 3 seconds. So while she’s dancing along to Souljah Boy looking cool, I sit there and gaze at my phone wondering when my ringtone is going tc oome?
Sometimes, I have to hum the beat so people will think I have a ringtone. I’m going to need Verizon to get their act together now!!!

Verizon is quite expensive they should at least allow delivery of ringtones but they want you to buy theirs! I once was a Cingular customer but switched to Verizon because I thought they were a better network I’m second guessing that now!!! This will hurt their customer base!!

Wow is there anything we as customers can do to get them to feel our pain? I just found out that with Verizon we can’t even bluetooth to get ringtones from friends and family because Verizon won’t support it! This is crazy…

We just signed up and thought it was us. We sent the tones 2 nights ago and they showed up at 1:30am last night.
yeah i definitely downloaded a billion songs and wallpapers for my enV and i havent got em yet..that waws lyk a half hour ago..but mi friend that has a different verizon phone, got em in lyk 2 second..makes no sense to me…EWW!im angrified.lol

lol… i JUST switched to verizon yesterday and immediately went here sine this is where i get my tones….then i got NOTHING!!!! for a whole 24 hours.. then on the 25th hour, i got one.. then another hour later.. i got another….this gon be a long weekend.. cuz i sent about 2,993,883,999,111 requests to my phone once i saw nothing…. thanks for the heads up tho!! love u guys
i think that it’s funny but it’s cool i’m a patient person who can wait for the ringtones you guys are doing us a big favor by giving us these ringtones and i thank you for that so i’ll wait for mine

Yeah, I’m on Verizon, and I sent ringtones the day before yesterday, and got them at around 11:30, 12:00 the next day. Verizon is a great company, but not when it comes to stuff like this. Thanks for the info.

i think you should find a way to just give us an address to go to once we make the ringtone… i mean, technically all the text message recieved says is go to this site to get your ringtone. would this work, or would verizon still block it somehow?

Gayy!!!!! I sent like 4 ringtones to my phone yesterday and I haven’t gotten any of them. I requested a few songs months ago and got those and a few wallpapers. But now it’s not working??? I hate Verizon.
I finally got mine ! Yippee ! It took about 30+ hours, but I got it. And since it’s a free service, I can’t complain too much, right ?

FYI, I’m on Verizon. I got two ringtones that I requested about two days ago. They did finally make it!
I also have an En-v phone thru Verizon. It usually takes 24 hours to get my ringtones,if they come at all.

Verizon is trying to make us use their PAY services. Think about it, if we use their pay sites, they profit, IF we use this site, they lose money. I say screw Verizon and let’s all go to Cingular!!! CINGULAR is the best. I’m through with Verizon after my contract!!!

First off, I Love Verizon. But they want to charge you for everything. Now, they have great phones, but we’re the one’s paying for the phones, not them. So I’d advice them to stop, otherwise they’ll probably be losing business realllllll soon.

I work for verizon and have gotten a gazillion calls about this today, I just got a new phone yesterday and tried to transfer all new ringtones through the site and still have gotten NOTHING so it’s equally frustrating, I don’t know why they’re blocking it or if they even are there were satellite problems with all networks a few nights ago so that should have a lot to do with it too

I have verizon and it is taking forever to get these. They told me the other day that it isn’t their fault. What is the problem? I am mad that it is taking up to a week to get my ringtones and then to forward them on its taking like 3 days
yea my dad was telling me that the reason even sending text messages on verizon phones can be slow sometimes is that they had a virus in their message system and it sent a lot of spam messages. they now check all the messages to make sure they arent spam.

Folks, you have to remember Verizon is the only carrier that has singled out the music downloading, they have removed numerous functions, or less say technology that is in every other carriers exact model. That technology lets you bluetooth/transfer files, that they make you pay for. The Get It Now! Verizon wants you to pay for all downloads. Myxer, must be a nightmare to there revenue…lol Some one the verizon network must have died..equates to a drop called…lol

I changed my default SMS address setting to my actual email address myname@yahoo.com.
I then go to my email. and my ringtones/wallpapers ARE there. . .
Then I just forward them to mynumber@vzwpix.com

Hello, I was just wondering if there are any updates to the Verizon Wireless issue receiving ringtones/wallpapers…I sent a couple wallpapers to my phone around 10pm last night and still have yet to receive them. Darn Verizon garbage!!!
I got my confirmation email 3 days after I first requested it. I still havent gotten the text one with the code to get tones.

I was wondering why I hadn’t recieved any of my ringtones. I have a friend that recommended this site and we both have Verizon, so I think this must be a recent problem. I am going to put in a request to them as a customer to fix this and would encourage the rest of you to do the same. Complaints are the quickest fix.

Ya i attempted to get ringtones the other day and they came two days late and i only got two of them.. wen i tried to get 7…verizon needs to stop messin around… they always try n ruin the great things like getting free ringtones which make their customers happy… instead they want yooh to buy their ringtones which are about 3dollars and are very outdated….

I signed on with Verizon a week ago. I bought a KRZR and am very pissed off. Everyone on my job swaps ringtones and I can’t. I was told by Verizon that it is illegal. What??? a ringtone thru email no longer works either.
I don’t expect this problem to be fixed, not
without an uproar from customers telling them
its wrong to “block” or “lock” you from using
a device you, the customer, spent money on.
So, in the mean time, whatever you do, don’t
pay one cent for any of our overpriced shit.

I just found another way to get the ringtones.
My phone has a record feature. I play the ringtone I want on my computer and record it on my cell phone. I then save it as a ringtone. The quality isn’t perfect, but pretty close
Joe as good of an idea that is, not all of our phones will do that.. my new chocolate doesnt work that way and i hate it. Verizon is gay end of story. Ive tryed sending 4 or 5 ringtones to my phone and i get nothing. ive had the phone 3 days and i tried 3 days ago to get the tones. still nothing. If anything we need to protest against Verizon and put a stop to this.

Obviously they tell you to be patient for a reason because of overwhelming amount of people trying to send their phones tones, tunes, wallpapers….
*itching about the process isnt going to get your tones, tunes, or wallpapers to your phone ne faster… so be patient… Patience is a virtue. BTW if you dont like the Verizon service CHANGE NETWORKS and see if they are ne better.

I have the Verizon Lg vx8300 music phone. i used to get my ringtone’s within about 5min or so after sending them to my phone. but lately i’ve been getting them a day or two later or sometime’s not at all. i love my Verizon phone/service and i hope this can be fixed soon. i switch my plan to the Unlimited messaging to everyone basically for i could get as many ringtone’s as i wanted with out going over my non-verizon text/pix. and i also send ringtone’s to my friends to so i know what that one person is talking about.

I’m not completely positive but I think the default SMS address is yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com.
Until Myerx gets fixed you can get ringtones through phonezoo.com. All you have to do is send the ringtone to your e-mail and then forward the e-mail to your phone(yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com). It works for me(I have a Samsung SCH-u740) Just make sure the file is attached before you send it. It’s a lot to go through just to get a ringtone, but I need new ones! I hope they can get this issue fixed soon. I miss getting my ringtones!!

I have been reading the various comments on the VZW issues. However, I noticed that there is a list of phone models that have been blocked from receiving the text messages to receive ringtones. However, I own an orange enV(LG VX9900) and I requested on Saturday (9-22) a few ringtones and I received them this morning Monday (9-24)..The V(LG VX9800) is the older version of the enV, they are not the same phone and VZW does not offer the V any longer..So to anyone with an EnV rather it’s silver, orange or green the texes will come through, just be patient…

It’s been nearly 48 hours since I tried to get my tones. I left some feedback on Verizon’s web site and they responded that they intentionally limit some features of phones and the messages they can recieve because of “security concerns”. More like monitary concerns. Everybody needs to hit Verizon’s web site with complaints. I even talked to a Verizon customer service rep about ring tones and she suggested I use a third party like myxer (though she couldn’t actually give me names). Stop bitching here and go hit the people who are preventing us from doing what every other provider lets their customers do!!!!!!!

Change your SMS Address to your normal E-Mail Address. It will make you verify it with that email address (Go to my account, then on the left hand side click change SMS Address)
Pick the ringtones you want, and send them to phone and they will actualy go to your e-mail address and then click forward and send it to yournumber@vzwpix.com Obviously change the “yournumber” part to your actual number.
Other then that, give the guys a break
. They provide you with free ringtones and all your doing is complaining how your not getting them. I understand it’s frustrating but just relax..You’ll get them soon.

I thought I was the only one who has been making ringers and not receiving them! It has been 72 hrs and I still don’t receive them so I have resolved my ringer problem. Go to Bitpim.org and download the software. All you need is your cell phone and a cable and you’re all set. I made all my ringers yesterday in 20 mins. Sorry Myxertones you lost another Verizon customer.

I think the main reason is that the company is trying to delay the reaction to the ringtones so that you would get tired of waiting and make you go to your verizon ringtone selection and buy them instead of getting free ringtones here or anywhere else. That’s my theory I may be wrong but it’s only a thought

Verizon is always catching on.. they first stopped the ringtones by not allowing people to use the memory cards to transfer the ringtone files to the phone. Now they’re stopping the deliveries of PIX-MSG files with the ringtones in them. Trust me, Verizon always finds this and stops it from continuing.. they want you to spent $3 for a dumb ringtone they provide. You won’t win…. trust me.

I called Verizon and they are claiming that they are blocking these websites because “they are getting a lot of complaints.” I told them they are full of it. Then the “customer care rep” tried to explain that these are premium text messages. I told them they are wrong but so what if it is? We have the right to use the services we want. We pay for text packages and they are blocking Verizon customers from getting them. I told them they better find a way to fix it. I have a right to choose what I want and I pay for that right. Everyone should call and complain. Put the heat on. Then maybe Verizon will get things right again.
I downloaded several tones about a month ago when I first heard about myxer. I had just got a new phone and didnt want to spend all that money on new music so I tried myxer , and wow it worked. I recieved the tones in about 2 hours. Well my Qoute “new phone ” messed up and here I am downloading this stuff again. Well its not 2 hours any more. Its been 2 days and still nothing. No tones or wallpaper. I guess its just a waiting game now. I hope its not verizon pulling this shit. dont they get enough money from us??? come on…….

I called Verizon today and they said that they are purposely blocking pic messages from websites that provide free ringtones because you need to BUY ringtones through verizon. Is there a way around this? Or will I have to resort to buying ringtones?

On the main page, after you log into the myxertones website, there is a link on the top right that says My Account. On the lower left, it says Change SMS Adress. It suggests you don’t do it, but whatever. Change it to your email address, and you know the rest.

You can go to phonezoo.com and get free ring tones.Myxer.com is the problem i can go to any other site and get free ringtones with no problems.Phonezoo.com is free but they don’ have any wallpapers.

i havent recieved my ringtones in over a month and i was messing around with my account details and i took it off of attachment and it sent to me but not the sound……. so i think jus the sound is dumb…… cuz the website is sending the messages…..

I have the enV thru verizon and I have been able to get some of the ringtones that I ordered but it takes four or five days sometimes. Not all of the tones are making it to my handset, I sometimes receives an email telling me that the messages weren’t able to be delivered. I have told all of my friends about myxer and we all love it. This site rocks.

I remember when I would get ringtones 10-15 minutes after being sent back in the day. Then it went to an hour or two. Then a couple of hours. Then it changed to a day. But now the ringtones dont make it to my phone at all!

I think all verizon customers should check out this link. Im not to sure if this pertains but it seems like it would have an effect. I have a Razr and SCH-700 or whatever(one that flips open 2 ways) and neither recieve ringtones anymore.

It took me about 2-1/2 days to get my first ringtone to my phone and it decided to come through at 3:30AM and woke up everyone. Iwasn’t happy on the timing but was glad to finally get some of my tones. The rest of the ones that i requested have slowly been getting delivered, but not at the rate that I was hoping to have them. I don’t like the fact that this takes so long, but I guess if you don’t want to pay for the tones you can’t bitch that much-they aren’t costing anybody anything to wait at least. So Verizon isn’t letting us receive our ringtones??? I was wondering what happend. I think I requested 3 ringtones two days ago and haven’t seen anything. I wouldn’t mind using Verizon to get my tones but they don’t have the songs that I want….and this site does plain and simple.

Gosh, Verizon just wants users to pay $4 for a ringtone through them that sucks and has no variety, that’s why they’re not allowing myxer messages.
I just want to let everyone know: The enV is DIFFERENT from the LG VX 9800. The enV IS ABLE to set downloaded ringtones as their ringtone. I have the enV & I’ve gotten tons of wallpapers & ringtones off this site. Sure, it takes a while, but it does work.

Yeah I’m about to give up on this website. It’s becoming bogus! Theres no point in trying to search for artist, edit songs, and uploading some tracks. All for no reason which is very time consuming. Well the good news is that it came through. It did however take almost 3 days. Think of it as a delayed, unexpected gift when it finally arrives.

Ihave seriously considered changing providers because of things like this. We own 2 companies and have at least 10 phones. This is aggravating’however this is minor compared to some of the other situations we’ve incured rescently with Verizon!

Verizon has a new signal out there for downloading music and videos. It messed up my phone battery and I had to have it replaced. I guess this is what our problem is with receiving the tunes.

Well i have actually changed my sms address to my real e-mail address and then sent the ringtones there and forwarded them to my phone from my e-mail address and i have recieved every single ringtone within about 15 minutes.

Yeah i spoke with a customer service rep at verizon, Basically verizon has cancelled any buisiness with myxertones.com for whatever reason, The only thing i can encourage us as costumers is to spam them and let them know its not right to hinder us from something like this. especially when get it now is not on point they dont even support the sanford and son theme for my phone.
my only thought on this whole thing is whether or not this is legal on verizon’s part. I mean seriously I know these ringtones are free and that is awesome, but we are still paying for the textmessages that are coming through. It is like they are trying to run a monopoly. Their ringtones suck. Myxers is awesome and I hope that verizon does their part to fix things cause I really think it could turn into a lawsuit seeing as though they are blocking a service that we are still paying for through our text messaging package…hmm..just a thought.

Someone on here sugessted putting your email address as your SMS address and the forwarding the songs to your cell from your email. I tried it last night and it worked. I got my ringtones in like 20 minutes.

Yes they are right about changing the SMS, It really works I got my tones to my email in less than a minute, then sent them to my phone. All done in less than 5 minutes.

it IS verizon. my mom worked for the company. every text u send verizon intercepts and checks the content. if its a regular picture or text message it goes through, but if it contains a ringtone file it is stopped. they pay a lot of money to have computer techs go through the messages and override software that tries to bypass the verizon system. the software myxertones was using was found by verizon techs and is now blocked. they do this so you have to purchase ringtones from them. it’s NOT myxertones, its verizons way of making more money.

VERIZON WIRELESS thinks their slick…..and apparently they are! I just tried another website with free ringtones called and they noted that they were having delivery issues with Verizon phones! Verizon has been refusing their connections too. They think they are SO slick guys…..I say, LET’S all boycott and don’t buy any more ringtones from Verizon. Verizon sucks, they already design their phones to prevent us from sending ringtones to each even after we purchase them!

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE… If you click on my account then click change sms address and put in ur actual email then when you receive tha four digit activation code put it in and you get your ringtones in two seconds…. then from you email you forward them to:1yournumber@vzwpix.com… of course you have to change yournumber to your actual cell number so get your ringtones now instead of two three weeks later…LOLZ Trust me this shh does work.. I got all my ringtones in five minutes…. Have fun downloading fellow Verizon Wireless users…..

It is not Myxertones that is causing these problems. Verizon has a program on the phone where you download ringtones for an a$$ load of money and their demand for ringtones has dropped since the popularity of the site grew. “Why buy milk if you have a cow at home?” Verizon hired techs to filter messages going through so the consumer doesn’t get to cheat them. They try to cover their a$$es. I say Myxertones fights the power by finding a loop hole.
And when they do….and I promise they will…….don’t be a squealer and tell everyone and their mom so Verizon gets the upperhand again! Then you’ll just be complaining to Myxertones again like it is their fault…..they are trying to help us….get a clue!
I spoke with a Verizon Tech and the problem will NOT be corrected. He said they are hired to filter through 3rd party incoming txt/pic messages and Myxertones comes over as “Spam”. So for the future, the problem will NOT be fixed.

works on my sons Motorola E815 using transflash as well … placed ringtone-mp3 in folder and emialed it to self using phone …. save as ringtone when you get it … please post what other phones this may work on
Just so you guys know….it isn’t wise to change your SMS Address. Just don’t do it. After you change it and realise that it takes long anyways through your regular mail..(possibly cause Verizon is watching that as well)…you won’t be able to change it back after so many attempts.
Myxertones will send the message to change the password to your phone which you will also not get…and you will get stuck in limbo waiting.
The wonderful myxertones team fixed mine and I am greatful for being back and waiting for them to fix the problem. I wouldn’t be surprised if the people suggesting to make these changes were from Verizon acting like users so they pull their customers away from this great service.
It is not Myxertones that is causing these problems. Verizon has a program on the phone where you download ringtones for an a$$ load of money and their demand for ringtones has dropped since the popularity of the site grew. “Why buy milk if you have a cow at home?†Verizon hired techs to filter messages going through so the consumer doesn’t get to cheat them. They try to cover their a$$es. I say Myxertones fights the power by finding a loop hole.
And when they do….and I promise they will…….don’t be a squealer and tell everyone and their mom so Verizon gets the upperhand again! Then you’ll just be complaining to Myxertones again like it is their fault…..they are trying to help us….get a clue!

Set up a vzwpix account at the Verizon Wireless website. It enables an email xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com where the x’s are your phone number. Then, send an email to that address with your desired ringtone attached. It will arrive as a pix/video message like the ones from MyxerTones and you will be able to save it as a ringtone. I’ve actually done this and discovered the sound quality is many times better than what this site delivers. MyxerTones is a great service but this is defintely a viable workaround.

I sent myself a ringtone yesterday and I just got the message, but it says that the content was deleted. I sent 2 ringtones and got two of the same content deleted messages.
All right….LG VX-9900 (EnV)users. Change the SMTP to your email yourname@email.com put the midi file on your micro SD card under mysounds (if you dont have one…get one). Then just pix message it to yourself and save as a ring tone. Easy and fast.

Thanks for trying your best in helping us Verizon users. I had sent a couple of ringtones a long time ago… I had received one of them about last week. Unfortunately, none of the rest either was not sent or sent me an email saying there was a “delivery problem” or something.

Oh, and one more thing – if you’re being charged for the tones, it PROBABLY has something to do with the fact that the tones and wallpapers come in the form of text messages w/ attachments, so you’re probably being charged for those. Try not requesting tons of ringtones every month and then your bill won’t be high!!!

The problem is that verizon wants you to pay $2-$3 a song and doesnt want these delivered…its all about the money.

Are you guys still working on this? I just got a new Verizon phone (Motorolla W385) and I’ve noticed I can’t pick it for my phone preferences or whatever. Also, I didn’t ever have a problem getting my ringtones or wallpaper with my old phone (Audiovox CDM-9900) and I could pick that one as my phone. And, with my new phone I do not recieve any messages from myxer tones (not even delayed, just no message). So, could you guys please fix this ASAP?

the go-around for this issue is to 1. add your sms address (m@yahoo.com) here 2. then verify in your email (mail.yahoo.com). 3. send ring tone. 4. go back to your email. 5. forward email as In-Line Text NOT attachement to your phone (1235671234@vzwpix.com). 6. receive email on your phone (it will play a SHORT sound) 7. Save sound to phone. 8. Go to sounds and it will play the whole ring tone. Hope this helps. It worked for me.

hi kim, i use yahoo mail classic view and on the forward tab there is a drop down that allows you to chnage it as in line txt.
I’ve been trying to get most of my ringtones and still nothing.. i’ve sent them about 4 times within 3 weeks.. still nothing.. i sure hope you get this resolved because i hate wasting money on the verizon ringtones that cost basically $3 a peice which is trisomy 21 (downsyndrome)… just saying. hurry and resolve!! i need new ones, and free ones so my mom won’t KILL me for my bill!!!

I am thinking of changing services! I was receiving my ring tones the same day, but now they are not coming thur! I know verizon has done something to block them and that makes me mad! I didn’t ask them to do anything to my phone! They get enough money just for their service, its all about money!!!!!

hi redband, you can ad your sms address under my account and account information, it gives you the option to add an sms address which you will have to verify with a code sent to that email address. hope this works for you.

Here is an article about verizon so called protection with text messaging. Its a shame I have to take extra steps just to rec’ve ringtones now.

your sms address is your email address. once you enter it there, myxertones will send you a verification email, enter the code and your all set, then find your ring tones send to phone, go to your email and forward the email to phone which would be 1234567890@vzwpix.com

hey! dudes to 1st generation chocolate users i can tell u how uu can get ur ringtones without delay, i hacked into the phone settings and am able to receive them if you change ur settings to roaming settings, that way the sms messages coming to ur phone are not pick up by the digital server, if u dig this halla homies and bitches

I never get the ringtones that i send to my phone through this site. The only way i am able to get the ringtones is if i send them through email to my phone. I think this website should allow you to send the ringtones to your email and then forward them to your phone. (All verizon phones have the email @vzwpix.com)

So. I’ve found that I’ll get the ringtone to my Verizon phone within 24 hours if it’s 10 seconds or less. Anything more has yet to come.

I am so upset with Verizon. I have been a customer with them for 10 years. Went in yesterday to get my son a new phone and the sales person gave us your website to download ringtones. We were very excited. We each came home an downloaded a couple of songs and now it looks like we aren’t going to get them. I can see us changing service when the contract is up.

Once again Myxer has been blamed sending wrong.
I told them hundreds of customers are having this problem and I was ready to start a call in riot via 611!!
I figured out another way to send ringtones to my phone it takes a couple more steps but it works! First i created the ringtone i wanted with bitpim then saved it to my music files. Then with my yahoo mail i send it to my phone as an attachment to yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com and it worked i received it!!!
I finally got some of the ringtones I sent to my phone, but it was 3 days later in middle of the night!

This worked for me through Yahoo e-mail with ring tones only. I haven’t tried any other e-mail accounts or sending wallpapers.
You may want to copy and paste this into Word or Notepad to print them out for easy reference.
Click on My Account at the top of the page, once open on the left side of the page under Your Phone go to Change SMS address
(Don’t worry about the Do NOT enter your regular e-mail address
After you change it there will be a box for New SMS Address again, and under it will say.
(Use “default” (without quotes) to go back to the default) Which is the original
address of your phone.)
In the box for New SMS Address enter your e-mail address i.e. yourname@ yahoo.com
Click Change, Open a new browser window and sign into that e-mail account to get your verification code.
Come back to Myxer and enter the code and follow the directions.
Page should now say, Current SMS Address yourname@yahoo.com
Download whatever it is you want. They will now be sent to the e-mail address you entered.
Go back to that e-mail account, click to open new mail, now forward it to
your phone number i.e. 1234567890@vzwpix.com.
YOU MUST FORWARD THEM AS INLINE TEXT If you don’t you
will just receive a text message without your song.
After doing all this I started receiving my ring tones in about 15 minutes.
I sent 12 which took about an hour and a half. Better than the 3 days
I had been waiting.

I am a Verizon customer and I have received ALL my recent ringtones. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but I have a LG VX8300 and my plan charges me .25* per PIX & FLIX text. *(Verizon is getting $omething)
On 9/25 I sent 2 ringtones – it took a little over 48 hrs to receive. On 9/27 I sent 1 ringtone – received within 48 hrs. On 10/1 I sent another 2 ringtones – received those within 24 hrs!
Since then, I have been receiving all my ringtones within 24 hrs. Their turnaround time has gotten better and I have been receiving all my ringtones. I hope this bit of info will give some of you some comfort in knowing that ringtones are going through… good luck and thank you MyxerTone!!!
I got my ringtone about 24 hours after i sent it to my phone, that kinda sucks but i still got it
I have a new Chocolate….I had posted a thing last night saying that I was still waiting…..well…I actually got some….so I’m 3 for 4….just one of them hasn’t shown up yet… I noticed that the tones start at the beginning of the song…so here’s a tip… If you have iTunes, go into the song options (where you can set the EQ)…and listen to the song while keeping an eye on the time bar. Enter in the spot the time you want it to start and end and convert in to MP3…and then try the upload. Not only will the file be smaller…possibly making it take less time, but you’ll also get the part of the song you want…heh Just a thought…lol

Wow, I got my ringtones yesterday, only took me a couple hours. I have verizon too. Hopefully this paves the way for a new beginning for verizon. Lets see if i can get more tonight. Good luck

I am grateful for your service – especially the FREE ringtones. I order 3-6 every other day and usually get one, three days later. My guess is Verizon might purposely block these text messages as they charge for this service and could be losing money. Thank you!
Well, i am sure everyone has covered everything. I will say that i think since verizon sells there ring tones on there website that they have blocked this site from sending tones to us because Verizon wants us to have to spend money on their ringtones. WTF, they charge us an arm and leg for their phone services in the first place. I am sure if everyone that left these comments called and threatened to cancel their service because of this problem they would straighten up real quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So they r right, you should try the SMS change, it worked for me, lol all of a sudden my phone was emailing 4 or 5 copies of one ringtone. I haven’t had any problems since them. Hope it works for you all……
How do you foward the ringtone to your phone as inline text when using yahoo?
This problem actually is turning alot of my friends away from this site. As you may have noticed, make alot of ringtone contributions to the site just enter the name shaydlife into the search. I really like the site. I just hope it gets fixed soon, although I’ll still remain loyal.
Well everyone, here is an update pertaining to Verizon. I spoke to a woman today, and she told me that because Verizon does not support third party websites where we can get ringtones, that she could not tell me if Verizon is blocking our messages or not. She said odds are that they are not. However I’ve tried phonezoo.com and funformobile.com as well as myxer, and now none of them are working. So I highly doubt that it is the websites that are having problems. It is highly probable that Verizon is doing it’s best to block any third parties that are providing us with free ringtones. It is good that some of you are getting yours, however it is possible that they just slipped through. I also asked the woman if they offer any other place to get ringtones besides themselves, and she said absolutely not. Go figure. So I don’t have a clue what myxer can do about this, but I hope they can figure out something.
if u change your sms to your yahoo email account then when they arrive u then foward them to your yournumber@vzwpix.com. you have to have an account at VZWPIX.com in order to do so. once u have an account u can then forward them and to your vzwpix account and they will go straight to your phone.
Make sure u click on “forward” then click on “inline text.” they should arrive at your mobile phone soon.

Guys, I changed my SMS address to my email address, just send the ringtone to your email address like everyone has said, then forward to your number@vzwpix.com you will get your ringtone, It works for me. I sent 4 songs yesterday and got then all.

larena, i have a friend who has a new blue chocolate and he has gotten quite a few ringtones, but he says some are instent and some take up to a day, but lately he hasn’t been able to get any, so i would say it’s verizons fault, and not your phone, because his has worked in the recent past.

i just joined myxer tones. and i have a verizon phone. it kind of sucks how they aren’t allowing all the ringtones to go through. the fact that we still get charged a text message fee means they still make money off of it. thanks for the info though. i guess i’ll just have to wait and see.

i have the enV by verizon. while there are problems downloading from a handset, i have had 100% success downloading from this website to my enV directly. is anyone trying this, or is just from their handset?
ive only got 1 rngtone sent to me in like a week and i requested…. alot. but what i figured out u can do is if u have any frends that do my xrtones that have a different phone company the verizon, u can have them send you ringtones in like 1min
wow, if you would just change your sms address to your email address and then forward the tone from your inbox to (your phone number)@VZWPIX.com, you will get basically every single one within like 20 minutes of sending them.

Anyways. . .Verizon sucks!!! I had Cingular for the longest time. . .and with Cingular. . .you can actually just upload it straight to your phone using a USB cable and set it as a ringtone. . .SIMPLE.
I recently just cancelled my contract with Cingular and joined a family plan (with my boyfriend) with Verizon. He wanted Verizon for I don’t know what reason. . .but Verizon is so limited in its capabilities.

Okay so I have the krazer. . .
AND I have always made my own ringtones using Windows MOVIE MAKER. Just slap the song into the audio part, skip adding any videos/pictures and just save it. . .it will save as an audio file (wma) and then I convert it to MP3.
At first, I tried changing the SMS address to my e-mail address like what others have been doing and it worked. So I figured. . .why don’t I just directly send it to my phone (without having to send it from this site and then forwarding it) and IT WORKS!!!
Just attach the song like you would usually when sending an e-mail and just send it to your phone. It took about 15 minutes for the message to come. But hey it works.
I just basically bypassed everything.

I was wondering if there was anymore of an update because i tried another website almost just like this one (sent to my phone as an attachment on a pic msg) and it sent the ringtone to me within 5 minutes. I really want it from the website though because the rngtones are louder. Any reason why it’s now working for other sites and not this one?

Ya know, I really do think it’s a load of crap that they’re [Verizon] making this all result in us paying $2 for a not even 30 second clip of music. I’m sure the bands aren’t even getting any portion of that money either. Half the time they don’t have what I’m looking for anyways. Not to mention I legally get my music from cds that I out right bought. I can see them being pissed about the illegal downloaders but I pay for my music why should I have to pay double [that's what it all boils down to after 5 ringtones and maybe some ringbacks that are only 10 seconds] when I’ve already payed once. The industry sucks man.. really sucks. Anyone else agree?

I have verizon and had a LG 6100 for a year, this site worked great. I just dropped $300 on a KRZR and now i’m not getting any of the ringtones I send from this site! I am not happy with verizon! can’t wait for my contract to be up in March.

I called Verizon & they said they have not have had anyone call to let them know about the problem. So if you are a Verizon costemor call them & tell them that you are having trouble getting stuff sent to your Phone.
I have a Motorazr Maxx VE which basically does everything, and will play .mid and .mp3 formats all day. I even put files on the removable micro-SD card for songs and sounds with no problem. I’ve recieved pic-attachments no prob. But Myxertones STILL wont work with my phone. I get a txt message that turns the data into a <> and is usually no bigger than 1kb. I’ve tried every setting myxtertones offers, but nothing. Verizon is either blocking your site specifically so they can charge 2.99 per ringtone, or they are swatting attachments illegally.

I’ve never visited your website before, but have been having problems of my own delivering txt messages to my cellphone via Verizon. This has happened in the past, twice, and each time they have somehow fixed it. In my case, I automatically forward certain emails to my phone, so they are all being sent from a single server/domain…and I believe that, eventually Verizon’s mail server flags that domain as SPAM. It’s a Verizon problem: the bounce message clearly indicates the message is being refused by a server which belongs to Verizon.
I’m curious if you’ve had any resolution from Verizon. I wrote them recently, and they replied with the usual PR, but no action yet. If by any chance they offer a solution which you yourself can implement, it would be awesome to see that!

i haven’t received any ringtones either. but found that when i actually text the song id i want to 69937 like it says to, then i actually get my ringtone. it just takes atleast a day. i texted one last night around 1 a.m and received the ringtone at 3 p.m
I have a verizon cell phone and I tried changing my sms address to my email address and then forward from email to my cell phone address and it took less than 15 minutes to recieve my ringtones. To get my cell phone address i just sent a picture message from my cell phone to my email. good luck

Once you send the link to your email address, then go back and send to your phone number @vzwpix.com, then the ringtone should be attach, then open it a save to your sounds. hope this works it work for me.
just wanted you to know that i think the problem is that people aren’t verifying their email addresses, because i didn’t get any of my ringtones until i verified it, and then i got all of them.
okay ive got ringtones from here before and i got them in like 5 seconds and i have verizon. but now im not getting any of my ringtones!
Its crazy because i have an enV and i have’nt recieved any of the ringtones or wallpapers i sent for, but when i go to my account and then phone details and unchecked the box to have the ringtones sent as attachments, they came in like 3 seconds. The only problem is that they come as links and i dont have the internet on my phone to go and get the files.

I have had problems getting ringtones, but for the most part, It have been pretty consistent.

i haven’t got anything on my Verizon phone and its frustrating because i wait for it and it never shows up.
PLEASE READ THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT this is bull sh*t if everyone is so mad abt this problem why doesn’t anyone do anything abt this if we all call verizon and threaten to switch to sprint or cingular they won’t want to lose all of their costomers its the only way to get this problem fixed

i have the verzion wireless razor an it takes days to get mine…my wife has the lg choc an she received 1 out of 5 whats wrong with verzion? if we dowload of their music sit we get with in secounds but here it takes days?
but free so what the hell i can wait

I have an LG Choclate and a few weeks ago I was getting all the ringtones I sent, but recently I haven’t been receiving anything.
I have been trying to send songs to my songs but they havent been coming through at all. When I first started to send them to my phone they came now they dont come at all.
i sent for some ringtones about 3 months ago and never recieved any. verizon is pissing me off. theyre doing this so were stuck buying their short ass ringtones for almost 3 bucks. they need to fix this crap soon.

Ok this is pissing me off. I had some wall papers and a ringtone sent to my phone plus my mom’s phone and its been a week and a half and we still haven’t received them. =( Are we ever gonna get them?
I’ve been getting the ringtones that I’ve sent. I sent some like an hour ago and I recieved them.
mabey verizon can only receive certain files like mp3 because i got three but that was it

I got my ringtones first try. You guys think your so kool wit ur high tech phones that flip open every which way, but you kant get these bomb ass free un edited ringtones can you? LGVX835 all day
how long did it take for you all to recieve your ringtones now that they have been working?
I have been getting my ringtones just fine withing the past week. For anyone out there who’s bright idea is to threaten verizon by cancelling, it won’t do any good. They don’t support 3rd party websites, so they don’t have to allow the messages to come through. So if you do cancel your contracts, you still have to pay the money for cancelling, so they still get your money. If they only reason you are cancelling is because of ringtones, well that’s dumb. Even if this situation sucks, verizon has good prices, and the IN calling is wonderful. I’m not defending verizon by any means, but I think you’ll regret it if you switch carriers because of ringtones. Most of the other carriers you can’t get reception almost anywhere, like you can with verizon.
