Myxer teams with The Orchard, brings 1+ million ringtones to Myxer.com
Hold the phone, Myxer fans: we’re bringing you some awesome ringtones to the site in the weeks ahead!
Last Thursday, we announced a history-making arrangement with The Orchard, a global leader in digital music and entertainment distribution. This deal brings more than 1 million new ringtones to the Myxer site.
Let’s put this into perspective: If you could somehow read the song title for each of these ringtones every second, day and night, it’d take you more than a month to read ‘em all.
Them’s a lot of ringtones.
We’re currently importing this killer content into our catalog, and will be releasing them on the site in waves. Expect 1.1 million tracks from thousands of bands, from hundreds of indie labels, including Definitive Jux, Park theVan, DIM MAK, BCD Music Group, Nuclear Blast, Greensleeves, Musart/Balboa and many more. Many of these will be premium ringtones, but some will be highlighted as ad-supported (free of charge) Myxer Picks of the Day.
“Myxer’s goal is to make it incredibly easy for people to get the mobile content they want, when they want it, period,” says our fearless leader, Myk Willis. “And our new partnership with The Orchard helps us further that mission.”
Rock on, a million times over. Hope you Myxer fans enjoy the new content!

Hi Gerry,
You can still get ringtones to your Verizon phone. Just follow the instructions shown after you hit the ‘Send to Phone’ button. Download the ringtone to your computer then email it to your phone.
It’s not perfect, but it’s not too bad either.
Good luck,
Marsha

I like having the ringtones downloaded to my computer because I can always save my favoriates to disk and have them on hand if something happens to my phone or my computer

Or if you have Verizon, just buy a BlackBerry- it works flawlessly.

The download insrtuctions work perfectly…only one omission. You can only download 30 second clip or the email will bounce back. Discovered this by trial and error. Stick to 30 seconds and the process is FLAWLESS!

Hi Sue,
Thanks for your feedback! I’ll make sure to update the instructions.
Have a great weekend!

Everytime i download the ringtone to my desktop and email it to my phone it always comes back and says
Your e-mail is being returned to you because there was a problem with its
delivery. The address which was undeliverable is listed in the section
labeled: i got Verizon and i don’t know if it has anything to do with the fact that i have Verizon or not

Hello Eric,
That happens from time to time, you should try sending a shorter ringtone and try to send it at different times… it should work.
If you have any other questions or problems, please do e-mail us. Thanks and good luck.
